25 May Bangkok Office Space – A Bargain in the World’s Market
It has been revealed that Bangkok is now one of the most affordably priced office markets in the world, according to research from Terra International Realty (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Grade A offices in Bangkok’s CBD have experienced an average increase of 6.6% year on year. This figure has placed them in the top 25 annual rent increases worldwide. However, when placed in order of the 126 cities surveyed, Bangkok still place 109th out of those 126. This translates to Bangkok having one of the most affordable average per sq m rates in the world. When compared to Hong Kong, the most expensive in the world, Bangkok’s Prime Grade A rent per sq m is approximately 9.5 times less expensive.
Year on Year the Asian Pacific Region continues to increase with prime office occupancy costs rising 2.7% higher than the rest of the world
With Hong Kong’s Central Market leading the most expensive list, the Top Five included West End London, Finance Street, Central Business District in Beijing and West Kowloon in Hong Kong. Making the Top Ten were also Tokyo, New Delhi, New York and Shanghai.
